006 - Movie Watching in 2019

I began tracking my movie watching on IMDB last year. We also moved into an apartment across the street from an AMC movie theater. Net result of these two events is that I watched and rated a lot of movies this year - so figured I may as well share.

My favorites from 1 to 49 listed below (26 of which I saw in the theater). I include anything with a 2019 release date that I watched prior to the airing of the Oscars (Feb 9 2020 this year).

Notice my penchant for comic books and horror. Since 2008, I've been living a world of Marvel bliss that I couldn't have imagined when I was a child. It all culminated in Avengers: End Game, which I found to be a satisfying end to my fanatic infatuation with the genre. I'll shelve my twelve years of joy at this point and try to be more critical of the medium moving forward.

I loved loved loved Jojo Rabbit and Uncut Gems and loathed Ad Astra and Hustlers.

I hope everyone had a good time at the movies this year. I had fun putting this list together and hope to repeat in the future. If you have differing opinions, you're wrong (because this is 2020 and is how the Internet works).
